Inspire students to think critically and flourish in a free society .

The Current Events is my favorite resource because it helps students to learn about what is happening in the world. The critical questions are well written and the articles are interesting. They fit our curriculum. The critical thinking questions force students to think and explain their thoughts.

izzit.org is a great resource to use. I use this resource to enhance student learning on a topic that I am teaching. I must say that I would rather use izzit.org for my instructional needs. The 45-Minute Lesson PowerPoints are wonderful. It gives you so much in one lesson to enhance student learning.

I love izzit.org. It provides engaging and creative material that sparks learning and understanding of the world. Students want to complete their passport and are looking forward to completing each page, as it feels close to the real thing and is a way we can “travel” the world.

In our school district, we had our entire middle high school vote using izzit.org for our mock election. In grades 6–12, all students received a sticker that said “I voted.” I was out in the community when a student was at dinner with her family discussing that they voted and learned about the Electoral College in class. In every social studies class, the importance of voting as well as respect for different choices was discussed. As teachers, we liked to use the izzit video to support the mock election. The students were excited to vote and get a sticker.
